Institute for Respiratory Diseases in Children-Kozle, Skopje is a public health institution specialized for treatment of children with lung disorders at the age of 0 – 16 years. Children from the all territory of Macedonia are our patients. Annually, we have about 3500-3700 patients treated at the hospital and we take care of about 27000 patients in our out-patient service.

Breathing process is significant function of the human complex organism. It is essential for a life. Conditions that interfere with this process could be stressed and life-threatening.

Nose full with secretion, runny nose, sneezing, coughing due to cold occurs and go during children's age. But, some children experienced far difficult persistent and serious lung disorders. Wheezing, breathing difficulties, lung system involving and allergies could indicate condition requires necessary urgent and aggressive treatment.

Very often, lung diseases are life-threatening and complicated for a treatment. We can help children and make theirs life quality better. Our physicians are specialized in diagnosis and treatment of children with lung disorders. Our stuff is enough professional to give medical care for a wide rang of lung disorders in infants, small, children, children at pre-school and school age.

If a child condition is complex and requires consultation of a numerous sub specialists, than this Institute is a right choice. There are 169 employees that care about small patients (high professional pediatricians-pulmologists, and, also, professionals in intensive care and neonatology, bronchology, otorhinolaryngology, pediatric pulmonary radiology, echo-sonography, electro-cardiography, biochemical and hematological investigations, microbiology; high skilled and educated medical nurses and technicians and other medical co-workers.

This Institute is totally preresponsible to multidiscipline medical approach to lung diseases in childhood as very complex diseases. Members of the team of specialists engaged in this institution have systematical consultations with other specialists from the other related fields.

Lung diseases are on the first place on the list of diseases in childhood. Great increase of the number of allergic pediatric disorders is evidenced.
